I am The Ancoats Bag Company

Hi, I’m John. I’m the designer-turned-machinist behind The Ancoats Bag Company. I’ve been a bag and accessories designer for a long time, but eventually my passion to design became inseparable from a deeply ingrained desire to make, maybe from a heritage in footwear manufacturing that spans several generations.

Still a consulting freelance bag and accessories design and development “gun for hire” via 632Design, I’ve made The Ancoats Bag Company to begin to fulfil a long held vision to design, prototype AND manufacture in-house, in the U.K.
